Font Center

When you click on the “Fonts & Sizes” button in step 3 of the main screen, the “Font Center” screen opens. It allows you to change any font to any other font and any font size to any other font size.

You can also make default font and font size changes here.

The “By Font” tab

The program goes thru every document you selected in step 2 and displays ALL fonts and font sizes located in those documents. Each row of the list has these columns:

  • Files – click “Show Docs” to see which documents the particular font or size is located in. Click “Return To Unique Property List” to go back to the list.
  • Action – click “UPDATE” to change that particular font or size (see below).
  • Schema and Property – where in the document the value is stored.
  • Old Font / Size – the value found in your documents.
  • New Font / Size – the value you picked to replace it with. It is empty until you make a change.
  • Style – relevant information as to where the font resides in your document. If the wording says “document” this means that particular font / size is set in the body of the document.
  • # Files – the number of documents the value is located in.

Click on a column heading to sort the list by that column.

For English speaking countries use “Ascii” and “latin” settings.

For Chinese languages use the “East Asia” settings.

For Arabic languages use the “Scripts” settings.

Global Font Heading and Global Font Body refer to default fonts for the document.

Changing one font or size

Click on the “UPDATE” button to change a particular font. This is a find and replace operation which will allow you to update a specific font within the document.

  • For a font row the Font Picker opens. Select the new font and click “Save And Close”.
  • For a size row the Font Size Picker opens. Enter the new size and click “Save And Close”.

The new value is shown in the “New Font / Size” column.

Buttons at the bottom of the screen

  • SET DOCUMENT(S) DEFAULT FONT & SIZE – changes the default font and size for ALL documents in the list (this is not a find and replace operation but rather all default fonts will be replaced). Note that some documents do not have a default font and size set, in those cases the font size will be appropriately inserted in the document! This button opens the screen described in Change Default Document Font & Size.
  • UPDATE ALL FONTS – opens the Font Picker and changes all fonts in the list to one specific font. This should be used with care as it will overwrite all the themes set in your documents.
  • UPDATE ALL SIZES – opens the Font Size Picker and changes all font sizes in the list to one specific size. This should be used with care as it will overwrite all the themes set in your documents.
  • RESET – removes all the font and size changes made on this screen, removes the default fonts and default size, and reads the fonts from your documents again.

Click “Save And Close” when done.

The fonts are not changed in your documents yet. Go back to the main screen, select the output in step 4 and click “Perform Substitutions or Extractions”.
